- More User-Friendly Website for FN Herstal
FN Herstal officially launches its new website, which brings some major improvements. The Internet users are able to compare technical data of products of the same family therefore select quickly and easily the more appropriate weapon. The new design gives more importance to interactivity and videos, including the new video that has been created for the international launch of the SCAR™assault rifle at Eurosatory, Paris. No doubt this is a major improvement compared to the previouswebsite. The website is currently available in English, but further language versions will be announced in the next few months. Future improvements will include a downloadable section of the catalog, a photo gallery, some press reviews, to name just a few.FN Herstal designs, develops and manufactures a full range of light and portable weapons, integrated weapon systems and ammunition for military and law enforcement agencies worldwide. - Aimpoint's Smallest Tactical Sight
In response to the need for smaller and lighter tactical sights, Aimpoint proudly introduced earlier this year the new Aimpoint Micro T-1 electronic red-dot sight. Built to offer the same battle-proven ruggedness as larger Aimpoint sights, the Micro T-1 sight is able to perform under extreme conditions while adding negligible weight toyour weapon. This new compact sight is suitable for use on rifles, carbines, shotguns, submachineguns and handguns. The Aimpoint Micro T-1 sight is ideal as a stand-alone sight, and can also be piggybacked on top of larger magnifying scopes, night vision, or thermal imaging optics. The Micro T-1 weighs in at only 105 g. (3.7 oz.), andcomes complete with a patent-pending integral Picatinny mount that is keyed into the sight body to absorb recoil. The Aimpoint Micro T-1 is a 1X (non magnifying) parallax-free optic that features a 4 minutes of angle (MOA) red dot for fast target acquisition. No tools are required to zero the sight, as the top of the caps covering the windage and elevation screws fit directly into holes on the adjustment screws to make the adjustment. The Micro T-1 sight is waterproof to 25 meters (80 feet) and tough enough to stand up to the worst field conditions. Optimized for use with all generations of night vision devices, the Aimpoint Micro T-1 sight features a manual adjustment switch with 6 night vision compatible settings and 7 daylightsettings (including one extra bright setting for use in desert sunlight or withlaser protection filters).Aimpoint s state-of-the-art ACET diode technology allows theMicro T-1 sight to operate continuously for over 5 years on a single CR-2032 battery. The Aimpoint Micro T-1 is a very exciting tactical optic not just because of its small size, but also due to its extreme versatility said Aimpoint President Lennart Ljungfelt. Not only is the Micro T-1 a full-featured stand-alone combat optic, it can also be mounted on top of other magnifying optics, giving the operator dual capabilities to engage targets in a CQB situation as well as at longer ranges. Now, everyone canhave the speed advantage of a red dot sight, no matter what type of weapon or primary optic they are carrying. - Aimpoint introduces the new MPS3 Sight
Aimpoint, the world leader and innovator of red dot sighting technology, has announced the latest generation of the company s heavy weapon sight the Aimpoint®MPS3. Designed for use onmedium to heavy support weapons, the MPS3 sight enables users to quickly bring a weapon on target, and greatly increases first hit probability. The Aimpoint MPS3 is a passive electronic reflex collimator sight. It is a rugged, parallax-free, 1X (non-magnifying) optic with unlimited eye relief. The MPS3 sight features an adjustablebrightness red dot with 9 daylight and 7 night vision compatible settings, making it suitable for use in all light conditions and fully compatible with all generations of night vision equipment. The MOA red dot is ideal for engagement of targets at all distances. The MPS3 sight is designed for use in extreme conditions, and able to withstand heavy recoil forces. The MPS3 sight has many of the same electronic upgrades found in the Army s new AimpointM68CCO (CompM4) sights. The advanced ACET technology and an improved LED gives the MPS3 the same 80,000 hour constant-on power as the M68CCO using only a single AA size battery. The brightness selection switch has also been redesigned for improved durability, and can be manipulated even while wearing gloves. Integrated rails on the top and side of the MPS3sight allow for easy attachment of accessories such a laser aiming, white light or infrared illumination devices.A new mounting system known as the Aimpoint MGMounthas been developed for use with the MPS3 sight. The MGMount contains a simple but effective 3-step ballistic compensator preset for 200, 800 and 1200 meters. The ballistic compensation can quickly be changed using the selector lever without losing eye contact with the target. This mount fits on a standard M1913 Picatinny rail."Listening to the specific needs of our end users helps Aimpoint develop better products,"said Aimpoint President Lennart Ljungfelt."The company s development team constantly strives to exceed all expectations of quality, durability and functionality. Our company-wide commitment toproviding our military end users with the best possible tools is something we are all very proud of. The MPS3 sight is a direct result of that commitment." - Peltor®Tactical Safety Products, Manufactured by Aearo Technologies, Announces New Military and Tactical Applications Eyewear

At the Defence Services Asia DSA in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the largest exhibition in the Asian area, together with its Malaysian partners Corporate Envoy and Challenge Corporation, Kärcher Futuretech presented its systems for peace-keeping forces. At the 11th edition of this exhibition which took place for the first time in the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC) in the centre of Kuala Lumpur, KÄRCHER Futuretech Sales Manager Dirk Waldow, who is in charge of the Asian market, welcomed many high-ranking visitors and interested people from all over the world. The Malaysian Vice Premier and Minister of Defence, Yab Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Abdul Razak, appeared very impressed with the technology of the trailer-based catering systems. Already since the beginning of this year, the Malaysian Armed Forces have relied on the mobile TFL 25 field laundry. Major General Dato' Oseman Bin Chik, Chief of Logistics of the Royal Malaysian Armed Forces, thanked for the delivery of the first three compact laundry systems and took advantage of the DSA for discussing the final details of this contract with KÄRCHER Futuretech Sales Manager Dirk Waldow. The highly mobile water purification systems of the Waterclean series were once again in the focus of interest. In addition to civilian and military applications, these systems are also used in the case of natural disasters such as the Tsunami, or most recently the disastrous cyclone in Burma. Using the WTC 500 RO, up to 10,000 litres of palatable drinking water can be produced per day. The Vice Minister of Defence of the Sultanate of Brunei, Pehin Colonel Dato' Mohammad Yasmin Umar, assured himself once again of the systems at the KÄRCHER Futuretech stand and is considering making a purchase in the near future."This exhibition was an excellent opportunity to establish new contacts and expand existing partnerships on the Asian market,"states Dirk Waldow in his positive summary. In addition, the Sales Manager also welcomed interested people from Eastern Europe who took the opportunity to make a closer, personal inspection of the KÄRCHER Futuretech portfolio. Lieutenant General Ivan Svyda, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Ukraine and the Polish Lieutenant General Lech Majewski, “Assistant Chief of General Staff,"intensively discussed further equipment possibilities for their armies.
